Hello International RO2 players!

Some of you may have seen this message today:

Error 02: Cannot connect to patch server

If you are encountering this error after switching your language setting to Chinese or Portuguese please follow these instructions to resolve this for the time being:

In your RO2 folder, find the file RO2_Option.ini

Open RO2_Option.ini in notepad

In the last line of the note document, find the statement Language=55  This number may be different depending on the language you selected.

Change the number to 1

The correct statement will read Language=1

Save the file.

This will allow you to access the game again. For the time being, please keep your language option set to English if you have encountered this error.

Our team is working to resolve this error as soon as possible and will update players once the new language options are working correctly.
